The apartmenthouse is situated at Aroeira Golf resort. The resort is located lesser than 2km from the lovely sandy beaches of Fonte da Telha. Lisbon airport is 25 minutes by car. Within 45 min to Estoril and the biggest casino in Europe, Cascais, Cabo da Roca which is the most westerly point of the European continent and the historical Sintra. Other attractions in the area is the fishing town of Sesimbra with the Moorish castle.
Description:
The resort offers restaurant, snack bar and bar; take away meals can be arranged at the cafeteria. The resort includes two 18-hole championship golf courses, a welcoming clubhouse, a golf shop, golf school, driving range, swimming pool and 4 tennis courts.
The surrounding areas includes access to a variety of beaches and beach activities. In Sesimbra you will find a scuba diving center if you like diving. Also within 45 min drive to the nature preserve of Arrabida Natural Park, great for walks.
Room Amenities:
Almost new high standard apartment with 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms. Ground floor apartments have a patio and garden. The apartments include bedroom with fitted wardrobes, bathroom with full bath and bidet, combined living and dining room with Cable-TV and completely equipped kitchen including oven, toaster, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and washing machine. A spacious balcony is fronting a open green area with pine trees just in front of the second hole at Aroeira golf course. The apartment is supplied with kitchen wares, linen, towels.
Golf:
Aroeira 1
Designed by Frank Pennink, the Aroeira course skilfully blends the needs of a championship golf course and the harmonious surroundings of natural landscape. The course runs through a pinewood sprinkled with wild flowers and many kinds of birds; it is a genuine nature park. The course, which is played for a typical Par 72 (36+36), provides a variety of game situations. Course was opened in 1972 and it is considered by the experts as one of the best Golf Resorts of Europe.
Aroeira 2
The course (Par 72, designed by the architect Donald Steel) has a fairly different concept from Aroeira 1, consisting of large fast greens, some of which are more than 700 m2 and are equipped with Penn A2 grass. Aroeira II is the first Portuguese golf course to use this type of grass on its greens, which can be cut to a height of only 2 mm. There are bunkers on the fairways, some of them in the Scottish style of pot bunkers. But the and traps are not the only obstacle that have to be taken into account: because of the course's five large lakes, water is a fairly constant hazard, particularly at the last nine holes.
Quinta do Peru Golf Course
The American architect Rocky Roquemore was responsible for the project and has designed a course for amateur golfers, but nevertheless representing a challenge for professional players. The course, with its many trees and wild flowers, offers a varied start, for the first three holes are a Par 5, then a Par 4 over 386 metres, and Par 3 over 186 metres. Still on the first half of the course, hole number 8, a 190 metres Par 4 has a lake in front of its green. The next nine holes are even more difficult.
Troia Golf Course
Considered to be Portugal's most difficult golf course, Troia is for that reason a major challenge to any golfer. It is one of the links designed by the famous Robert Trent Jones and opened in 1982. Its principal obstacle is sand which borders the whole course, where pine trees and wild plants are also found in abundance.
